Thomas William James Watt, age 86, died October 13, 2015 at Banner Desert Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.
Thomas is survived by his wife Shirley of 59 years, three children, Rhonda Lockhart (husband Carroll), Carolyn Gentilella and Patrick Watt. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his son Thomas, Jr. He will be greatly missed by all those who have been blessed by knowing him.
Thomas is a veteran of the US Army and served in World War II. As a child, he established a strong work ethic which was carried throughout his life. His children consider him a genius and a self made man. His attention to detail was legendary. He enjoyed his work as an engineer. He retired from the civil service as a engineer and was noted for working on the Night Vision Project in the 1960's. After moving to Arizona he was employed with Boeing as an engineer for another thirty years.
