Charles Joseph Mickelson of Wilmont, MN was born May 9, 1936 in Tracy, MN to Henry and Agnes Mickelson of Currie, MN. Charles attended IHM High School in Currie and after graduation in 1954 he farmed on his parent's farm outside of Currie. He also was an assistant coach for the IHM basketball team and played baseball for Dovary, MN. On December 29, 19958 he married Marilyn Busch of Hadley, MN and farmed near Avoca, MN. He was involved in farming up until the early 1970's. After leaving farming he was in sales for Lester's and Morton's buildings, an insurance agent for AAA and finally working as office manager for a veterinary clinic in Worthington, MN.

He survived by his wife Marilyn (Busch), sons Robert, Patrick and Michael, daughters Laurie, Mary and Kathleen all of Wilmont, MN, and his mother Agnes Mickelson (Byrne), brother Harold of Currie, MN and sister Alice Henning (Mickelson) of Iona, MN. He is preceded in death by his father Henry.
